Mindfulness for Stress Relief
Is this you?
Frustration about the slow progress of your thesis a constant aspect of your day?
Are you lying awake at night, because you can’t stop the spiralling thoughts about your work, colleagues or professor?
Are you craving a more positive outlook on your day? Notice little things that bring you joy and appreciate the progress of your work?
Over six weeks, this course introduces you to the essentials of mindfulness, guiding you towards a calmer, more content version of yourself by developing intentional, nonjudgmental awareness of thoughts, bodily sensations, and emotions — equipping you with simple daily practices that enhance focus, resilience, and self-regulation.
How we will get there:
1
Cultivate Awareness
You will learn the basics of mindfulness and understand the most common patterns of the mind.
2
Explore Body Sensations, Emotions and Thoughts
You will learn different mindfulness techniques to notice sensations in your physical experience, your emotional world and most interestingly in your thoughts.
3
Self-reflection and Connecting with Others
You will learn tools to self-reflect on your common patterns and ways of doing things in your life, gain insights and share them in small groups.
4
Integrate into your Daily Life
Every session will generate a homework for you, some exercise to practise and try at home during your week. Mindfulness can only be cultivated over time and it needs practise to show it’s effect.
Goal:
By the end of the course you will walk away with a mindfulness tool box, that you can use for multiple situations in your work and private life. You will know yourself a little bit better, finding moments of calm, appreciation and joy.
Your Time Commitment
We will meet for 6 weeks for 75min, live on Zoom, date and time will be agreed.
There will be an exercise to practise every day in-between sessions which shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes.
Each course is limited to 12 participants to make sure everyone gets the attention they need.
Participants need a laptop or tablet with working camera and microphone.
Are you ready?
At the moment this course can only be booked by Universities, Graduate Schools or Research Institutes. If you are interested and you’d like to treat your doctoral candidates and researchers to this wonderful course, please get in touch.
What was your main learning or highlight of the course? "Mindset change from "Shit I am too slow, nothing works." to "Wow, I am doing it, I enjoy".
