My Story
My academic journey has taken me through some incredible places – from being part of a fellowship in the Disability and Inclusion program at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich, to working in Rehabilitation Science at TU Dortmund, and later in Sports and Health Science at TU Munich – all with a focus on Sociology.
Along the way, I found myself juggling a lot: teaching, faculty responsibilities, and carving out precious time for my own research. It was a steep learning curve! I had to quickly figure out how to navigate time management, set healthy boundaries, and manage the self-doubt that so often comes with academic life. More than anything, I wished for support that combined the practical structure of writing time with the calming practices of yoga and mindfulness. But no such space seemed to exist – at least, not all in one place.

After completing my PhD, I decided to create it myself! I trained as a yoga teacher and mindfulness coach and developed a unique blend of academic writing support, yoga, and mindfulness – all designed to help doctoral candidates move forward with clarity, confidence, and a bit more joy. By now I have worked with over 200 doctoral candidates, helping them to thrive and complete their goals.
I'm originally from Germany and now live in East London with my husband, our daughter, and our cat Merlin. I continue to teach at universities in both Germany and the UK – and I’m passionate about helping others find balance and fulfilment on their academic path.
